About Dr. Harris

At Colon and Rectal Surgeryof Manhattan, Dr. Marsha Harris is an expertly trained surgeon who provides care to patients throughout New York City, NY. At the practice, Dr. Harris offers treatment for colorectal cancer, disorders of the anus, rectum, and colon, care of diverticular disease and a number of other diseases including fecal incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, rectal prolapse, hemorrhoids and pilonidal disease. She also specializes in minimally invasive techniques and performs colonoscopies.

Dr. Harris obtained her medical degree from the New York University’s School of Medicine in 2002. She also completed her undergraduate degree and general surgery residency training at New York University. Dr. Harris completed her colorectal fellowship training at the Colon and Rectal Clinic of Orlando, FL and has been caring for patients at the practice since 2008.

Dr. Harris is devoted to providing each patient with the care and expert treatment they need in order to find relief from troubling symptoms and to begin enjoying life without the pressures of their disease. Dr. Harris looks forward to working with New York City patients and helping them to overcome any disease or condition affecting them.  She has academic appointments at NYU and does most of the surgery there. 

The entire staff of Colon and Rectal Surgery of Manhattan and Dr. Harris are proud to welcome all new patients. The practice is also able to accept most major forms of medical insurance.

Our practice accepts most major insurance plans and most of the smaller insurance plans. If we do not participate with your insurance and your plan allows out of network benefits, our office staff will assist you with the necessary paperwork so you can receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company.
